FiberFlow™ Trial For Broadband Expansion Of Breitband Zweckverband Bzv Mittleres Schleswig-Holstein
The aim of the FiberFlow™ trial was to blow a route from Alt Duvenstedt to Owschlag. Since the route to be installed was between two villages out of town, a trenchless installation was obvious to save civil engineering costs. The installation company drilled the Emtelle microduct bundle over 200m with Horizontal Directional Drilling HDD method. Vitronet relied on Emtelle’s FiberFlow™ DBR microduct bundle, a robust and reinforced bundle with double layer (PP & PE sheath) and higher tensile forces. FiberFlow™ DBR is the perfect solution for installation methods with higher requirements on tensile forces and mechanical protection like HDD. During the installation, the bundle and double sheaths were even dismantled, connected, and branched as well. The feedback by the installing company Iwers & Sohn was very positive and they will utilize FibreFlow™ DBR in upcoming projects also. The products supplied for this trial were FiberFlow™ DBR 7-way 14/10 and Fiber Flow DBR 24-way 7/4 + 14/10.
