Emtelle delivers the fibre network to the “New University Hospital” – commonly known as “DNU”, which when completed in 2019 will treat approximately 1 million patients annually.

The blown fibre network DNU Hospital Denmark that will carry all communications from patient monitoring to in and outgoing communication was created by Emtelle. The fibre network consists of approximately two million meters blown fibre and backbone cables that connect only two redundant patch panels to approximately 11,000 local switches.

This network provides the following advantages:

  • A huge saving on cooling, power and physical space
  • IT security

A network of this size with only 2 patch panels is only possible because the solution has been planned before construction started. Emtelle delivered through the performing contractor MB Networks.

A building of this caliber makes great demands on Emtelle as a supplier, but we have solved the problem and look forward to solve more of this type.
