Hawick, 28th January 2010 – Emtelle today announced that it has appointed Mr. Sanjeev Kumar, as its new Group CEO.
Kumar brings 34 years of experience, having worked in various disciplines, including production, design, project management, finance, marketing and exports, before assuming general management responsibility. He worked for companies such as A-D Technologies, Mainetti, and Comcraft.
He has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi and Post Graduate Diploma's in Business Management and Foreign Trade.
His experience spans across a wide spectrum of industry sectors, including power generation and distribution, metals, automotive, plastics, and telecom. He has worked in geographical regions encompassing Asia, the Middle East and Africa. Mr. Kumar has set up several Greenfield units in Asia and East Africa and has successfully led cross-cultural teams in executing major projects in the Middle East.
Kumar joins Emtelle from A-D Technologies, where he was Regional Managing Director for Asia Pacific, Africa and the Middle East. In this position, he spearheaded the company's growth and diversification into new products and markets.
Mads A. Høgfeldt the current Group CEO for Emtelle Group and Kenn E Byllemos COO, will step down from daily operations but will focus entirely on supporting the management on the international expansion of the Emtelle Group and will remain with the company as shareholders: “Since we have been trying to attract Mr. Kumar for the last three years, we are obviously extremely pleased with this appointment.
