Air Supply
| The compressed air for blowing is best provided by a suitable mobile compressor. There are Emtelle units for use anywhere outdoors, petrol-driven, that fit inside a small van. | |
| Most routes can be blown with a 10 bar supply. The standard compressor has a 10 bar output and is also fitted as standard with a drying unit specifically for blown fibre. This ensures the air contains no more moisture than is suitable for fibre blowing. For some situations, there is a 15 bar compressor. |
|
| For indoor blowing there is a mains-operated compressor, which is quiet-running, and has a lower air output, suitable for such shorter routes. | |

| The air output is fed via a plug-in hose to the blowing head. From there, the pressure can be regulated to suit the particular route. Normally this is 10 bar. | |
| As an alternative, it is possible to blow using a bottle of high pressure industrial air or nitrogen. The pressure has to be reduced with a suitable valve unit, and of course the bottle has only a limited capacity before having to be replaced. Please consult us if you intend to use bottled gas. Never use toxic, flammable or explosive gas! | |
